Being considered for The 100 means going through 100CK's documented seven-point verification — the same factual check every Verified listing passes. It's a prerequisite, not the whole story.
Then it's editorial
Verification confirms the facts. Selection for The 100 is a separate editorial judgment — real community impact, longevity, and story — reviewed by the 100CK team, the same way we choose directory listings. Passing verification doesn't guarantee a spot.
It becomes the book
The 100 people and businesses selected are the same 100 profiled in 100 People Shaping Chatham-Kent — professional photography, real stories, one hardcover edition per year.
What The 100 is not
- It's not for sale. No one can pay for one of the 100 spots.
- It's not the same as being listed in the directory — every real Chatham-Kent business is welcome in the directory, free, whether or not they're ever considered for The 100.
