Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026.
This page is a plain-language summary of the terms governing 100CK, not a substitute for independent legal advice specific to your situation.
Acceptance
By using 100ck.ca, you agree to these terms.
Directory information
Directory listings are compiled from public sources and community submissions and are provided for informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate, but 100CK does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any listing, and is not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of any listed business. Always confirm details directly with a business before engaging them.
Claiming and managing a listing
Claiming a listing does not transfer ownership of the listing or the underlying data to you — it grants you the ability to request or (for Business Partners) directly make edits to the public information shown. We may decline, reverse, or request verification of a claim at our discretion, including if we believe it was submitted by someone without authority to represent the business. Self-serve edits by Business Partners must be accurate; we may remove or correct edits that are false or misleading.
Verification decisions
Whether, when, and how a listing is marked 100CK Verified is at our sole discretion, based on the process described in our verification standards. Verified status may be revoked if information is later found to be inaccurate.
Paid products and subscriptions
Sponsored placement, Business Partner memberships, and Community Sponsorships are paid products governed by our advertising disclosure. Monthly and annual subscriptions (Sponsored placement, Business Partner) renew automatically until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods. Community Sponsorships are annual commitments invoiced separately — contact us for early cancellation. Purchasing any paid product does not create an editorial obligation on our part, and any resulting sponsored content will always be clearly labelled as such.
Get Matched and lead distribution
Submitting a Get Matched request authorizes us to share your contact details and request with a small number of relevant businesses from our directory, as described in our privacy policy. We do not guarantee that any business will respond, that a match will be a good fit, or the outcome of any resulting engagement — you're responsible for vetting and contracting directly with whichever business you choose to work with.
Book pre-orders and events
Pre-order signups for "100 People Shaping Chatham-Kent" reserve your place on a notification list; you will not be charged until payment formally opens closer to publication, and pricing, page count, delivery timing, and features described on the book page are current plans, not guarantees, and may change. Event details (date, venue, format) for the associated launch event are provided as available and may change or be cancelled; we'll do our best to notify pre-order and newsletter subscribers of material changes.
User submissions and intellectual property
If you submit a nomination, correction, claim, listing edit, or other content to 100CK, you confirm it is accurate to your knowledge and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish and use it as part of the directory. We may edit submissions for clarity, length, or accuracy. The 100CK name, logo, and original editorial content (guides, profile write-ups) are our property or used under licence; directory data about a business remains that business's own information.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, 100CK is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, a business you found through it, or a Get Matched referral. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid product is limited to the amount you paid us for that product in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
