Advertising Disclosure
100CK sells three paid products: Sponsored placement (advertising), a Business Partner membership (a support/utility subscription), and Community Sponsorship (funding support, described below). This page discloses exactly what each is, what they cost, and — just as importantly — what they do not do.
What Sponsored placement is
A business that purchases Sponsored placement appears in a clearly labelled "Sponsored" section — on the directory, relevant category pages, and relevant community pages — separate from and shown above the organic (unpaid, alphabetically ordered) results. Sponsored placement is capped at three businesses per category or community at a time. Available monthly ($29/mo) or annually ($290/yr) — see our advertising page.
What the 100CK Partner membership is
A Business Partner membership is a paid support subscription that gives a claimed business owner practical tools: self-serve editing of their own listing (no review queue), a listing analytics dashboard, expedited (not guaranteed) review for Verified status, expedited (not guaranteed) consideration for The 100, an embeddable "100CK Partner" badge for their own website, and eligibility to be considered for relevant guides. What Community Sponsorship is
Community Sponsorship is annual funding support at three tiers ($250 Community Supporter; $1,500–$5,000 Category Supporter; $3,000–$10,000 Platform Supporter). All tiers receive acknowledgment (name/logo listing, social mention). The two highest tiers include the option of a sponsored interview or content collaboration about the supporter — this is always published as clearly labelled supporter content, separate from and never mixed into our editorial directory listings or guides. What none of these products do
- None grant 100CK Verified status — Verified is earned through our review process, described in our verification standards. A Partner membership can move you up the review queue; it cannot guarantee you pass.
- None grant a spot in The 100 — that's a separate editorial selection, capped at 100, and it isn't for sale at any tier.
- None change how an unrelated business is described, or add an editorial recommendation to a directory listing or guide.
- None affect the order of organic (unpaid) directory results, which are sorted independently of payment.
- "Eligible for guide consideration" and similar language means exactly that — consideration, not a guaranteed placement, and it never changes what a guide actually says about a business.
- Any content that does result from a paid relationship (a supporter interview, a content collaboration) is always clearly labelled as sponsored/supporter content — never presented as ordinary editorial coverage.
- Sponsored and Partner badges are visually distinct from the Verified badge and are never labelled as anything other than what they are.
Cancellation
Sponsored placement and Business Partner memberships can be cancelled at any time; neither has a long-term contract. Community Sponsorships are annual commitments — contact admin@100ck.ca for early cancellation questions.
